I started renting with Rent the Runway back in 2015 when I was getting married and had a ton of upcoming weddings. I started with just one-time rentals of dresses for special events and some accessories sprinkled in. I was almost always happy with every rental, there were a few here and there that didn’t fit or didn’t work for me, but RTR always has the best customer service and fixed it right away!

A pro tip – always try on your rental as soon as you receive it, if it doesn’t fit or isn’t up to your standards, start an online chat with them and they will immediately work to resolve the issue by allowing you to order something else and it will normally ship that day or the next. I took a break from using Rent the Runway because I wasn’t seeing the quality and availability of items I had seen in the past, but in 2021 I was recently single, moved into my own apartment, and was really on my own (no longer a DINK) so I had to be careful with my spending. That’s where the RTR membership came into my life! I used a promo code to get 30% off my first month and started renting 5 items at a time (with up to 10/month). I received so many compliments when I wore the items, and loved having new clothes every month without spending a ton of money, creating over-flow in my closet, all while promoting environmental sustainability!
